“The students of Shaolin A.R.Ts learn discipline and respect for others. Participants learn to control their anger and vent their frustrations in a constructive manner. Participants learn to be assertive when dealing with daily challenges and, as a result experience an increase in self esteem and positive social interactions.”

“I have had the privilege of knowing Paul for several years. What an inspiration he is! Most of our associates at ResCare are dealing with physical and mental disabilities. Paul has motivated them to a new level through his, Shaolin A.R.Ts instruction. Seeing their excitement, improved self confidence, and over all fitness has been very exciting! There has been a carry over of skills learned in Paul’s class to every day communication. The improved fine motor skills have been helpful to our non-verbal individuals, who use augmentative equipment for communication purposes. One of our associates regularly uses signs that Paul has reinforced i.e. “chop”. I feel that Paul’s program is an excellent asset to those with special needs. They respond to Paul in a way that is truly incredible. He is very in tune with the special needs of each individual. I would highly recommend his services to anyone.”

“As an occupational therapist, I am always looking for new interventions to use with my clients. After observing Paul Graber working with individuals during kung fu, I began to contemplate how kung fu and occupational therapy relate. Kung fu relates not only to the physical aspect of the body, but also the emotional. Breathing techniques for relaxation are an essential part of this ancient practice. In occupational therapy, I often incorporate various breathing techniques into relaxation and sensory integration. I also focus on upper body strength, balance, and social participation, all of which are essential parts of kung fu. In my professional opinion, kung fu benefits individuals with disabilities both physically and emotionally. It is my ambition that Paul’s expertise can reach more individuals with disabilities to improve their self esteem and physical performance.”
